Mark this day in your diaries ladies and gentlemen. Why? Because today I've launched Ctrl Alt! So? So I am hoping it is going to become a source of inspiration for people building web sites. A place where people can find out and discuss what they think "Best Practice" is in the wonderful and ever changing world of user experience and user interface design.
I will be writing about my own learnings, as well as hosting some articles and opinions, of much finer minds than my own. This will all be in a bid to help you make better web sites. I will focus most of the articles you see on this site on "How to" and "10 steps to..." guides, rather than conjecture about the future of technologies. I hold a belief that a good basic design will remain good whether on Desktop or iPhone, Firefox or IE, or using Flash or HTML5. Making sure you have done the basics brilliantly will give you a much better more transferable site than using new technology to paste over the cracks.
